“A former Din Tai Fung chef brings noodle and fried-rice skills to his own small restaurant. The delicate chili-oil wontons and the heat control of pork-chop egg fried rice each show a different strength.”

THE STORY

The story behind this place

Bringing noodle craft to Baoqiao Road

Xiaole’s owner previously cooked at Din Tai Fung. After starting his business, he applied that training to noodles and fried rice so diners could enjoy them more accessibly. The restaurant moved to No. 67, Baoqiao Road in the 7th month of 2013 and reopened. Today, bean-curd-skin sides, wontons, and pork-chop egg fried rice continue its focus on Chinese staples.

✨ AI Quick Take

小樂精緻麵食館 is an honest Chinese noodle house whose sides, soups, and fried rice reveal fundamentals beyond noodles. Comparisons with Din Tai Fung matter less than the crisp Thai-Style Bean-Curd-Skin Rolls, familiar hot-and-sour soup, delicate Shrimp Wonton Noodles in Chili Oil, and the wok hei and substance of Pork-Chop Egg Fried Rice. For an unfussy, efficiently served Chinese staple in Xindian, the menu is approachable.

Setting and dining atmosphere:Seating is limited, and both space and service move at the brisk pace of an everyday noodle shop. It is better suited to workers, residents, or anyone after a quick meal than long conversations. When busy, do not lose yourself in your phone: fine noodles and chili-oil wontons will not preserve their best texture while waiting for you.
Uncle’s take: The danger is merely resembling a famous shop while every side, soup, noodle, and fried rice falls short. Xiaole covers several lines well, so you need not order the same safe bowl every time.
Location and dining notes:At No. 67, Baoqiao Road, Xindian District, New Taipei City, this is a frequently discussed Chinese noodle house in Xindian. Seats are limited and peak periods may require a wait. For takeaway, check current supply and preparation. Fine noodles and wontons suffer when left standing, so toss and eat them hot.
● Thai-Style Bean-Curd-Skin Rolls

Bean-curd skin absorbs sauce for gentle savoriness and retains real texture rather than serving as a paper-thin wrapper. Silver sprouts inside provide crispness and moisture, refreshing the whole roll and lightening the savory skin. A low-key but quickly emptied opener before soup, noodles, or fried rice, it shows how fundamentals live in small details.

泰式豆包捲
Uncle’s take: A side dish is hard to fake. Flavorless bean-curd skin and limp sprouts merely add a plate to the table; this roll finds its own presence.
● Hot-and-Sour Soup

This follows the familiar Chinese noodle-house style, with smoothly balanced tang and heat. The soup has body without numbing the ingredients into obscurity. It is not overwhelmingly packed, but the flavor is clean and naturally invites another sip. Fans of Din Tai Fung-style hot-and-sour soup will recognize the profile, which pairs easily with fried rice or chili-oil wonton noodles.

酸辣湯
● Shrimp Wonton Noodles in Chili Oil

Thin, resilient wonton skins hold shrimp and filling with freshness and substance. Chili oil does not flatten every flavor; its spice and richness stitch wontons to noodles. Toss the fine noodles while hot for even coating, as waiting costs them their crisp precision. With layers from noodle to wonton to oil, this is a highly complete staple.

💡 Ordering Notes

Toss Shrimp Wonton Noodles in Chili Oil immediately and eat them hot; do not make the fine noodles give up while you spend ten minutes taking photos. For greater intensity, adjust the heat afterward, but taste the shop’s ratio first to understand the balance between chili oil and shrimp.

● Pork-Chop Egg Fried Rice

This dish brings unmistakable substance. Fried rice grains are dry and separate, with egg aroma and wok hei rising after each bite, never clumped or merely oily. The thick pork chop adds meatiness to familiar Chinese-restaurant satisfaction. It is a safe choice with character, supported by careful heat and a substantial chop.

📌 Editor’s Summary

小樂精緻麵食館 reassures because more than one signature supports it. Thai-Style Bean-Curd-Skin Rolls open the meal, Hot-and-Sour Soup provides familiar body, Shrimp Wonton Noodles in Chili Oil stay delicate and precise, and Pork-Chop Egg Fried Rice closes with wok hei and meatiness. Eat quickly, but give each hot bite its due; do not leave the fine noodles waiting while you overthink.
